Copyright and Takedowns
Last updated: October 13, 2026
Videos on YouTube Collector play from YouTube and stay on YouTube. We hold transcripts and AI summaries of videos that users add to their libraries, and some videos have a public page with a summary. Video content, including its transcript, belongs to the original creator.
Ask us to remove your content
If you own a video, or are authorised to act for the owner, and want its transcript, summary or public page removed from YouTube Collector, email [email protected] with:
- the YouTube links of the videos, or the YouTube Collector pages they appear on
- your name and how to reach you
- a statement that you own the content or are authorised to act for the owner
We take public pages down as soon as we have checked the request, usually within one working day, and we do not add that content to our public pages again.
Formal notices (DMCA)
You can also send a formal notice under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act to the same address. Please include:
- your physical or electronic signature
- a description of the copyrighted work
- the address (URL) of the material on YouTube Collector
- your address, telephone number and email
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law
- a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner
Repeat infringement
We may close the accounts of users who repeatedly use the Service to infringe copyright.
